Acer is coming out with three
different product lines to take advantage of Windows 8. The first is the Aspire
7600U, a new touchscreen based all-in-one desktop PC that has a 1080p, 27-inch screen
and is capable of 64-point simultaneous touch. The device is 35mm thick and
features Dolby Home Theatre surround sound.
Also available is the 5600U, which
is a 23-inch counterpart to the beefier 7600U. Acer says that it is the
thinnest all-in-one PC on the market.
Acer has also created a few products
for the mobile sector, like the new 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch Aspire S7
touchscreen ultrabooks. The specifications of the ultrabooks have not been announced
as yet, but it is known that both models will feature 1920x1080 screen
resolutions. The ultrabooks feature an aluminum unibody design along with a
light sensing keyboard and Acer's Twin Air cooling system.
Delving further into mobility, Acer
has also introduced the 11.6" Iconia W700 tablet. The device features an
11.6-inch full HD display, with Dolby Theatre sound, three USB 3.0 ports and a
multipurpose cradle that allows the tablet to be tilted up to 70 degrees.
The younger sibling in the tablet
family is the Iconia W510 that comes with a 10.1-inch display, and can be
paired with a keyboard dock that is said to boost battery life to up to 18
hours.
