The
ArRiyadh Zoo is a recreational place for all residents and visitors. It
is one of the most popular leisure facilities in Riyadh. The Zoo, first
formed in 1957, was originally a small scale affair, consisting animals
presented as gift to the first three kings of the kingdom.
The
existence of the park in the city center as is the case for zoos in
many cities (such as London, Berlin, Zurich ... etc.) make them enjoy
all the city services available, such as lighting, water and sanitation
as well as easy access.
Rennovation and re-development of the Zoo
In
line with the government's plan good attention Custodian of the Two
Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud may God keep him
working to find an outlet for citizens appointed to eliminate their
leisure time and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin
Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, the Emir of Riyadh region has been the renovation
and development of the zoo in Riyadh On its old has been opened to the
public on Sunday, 22 Rajab 1407 H.

The park is located in the Malaz area, east of Al-Ahsa Street and North Street Musab bin Amir.
